ABOUT

Hello, I'm a photographer with a focus on portraits, architecture and still life.

I began making photographs as a teenager. I picked up a camera, set up a darkroom in my basement and started developing film and paper. After high school, inspired by Adams, Weston, Robert Frank and the Grateful Dead, I headed west. I graduated from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, where I studied with the renowned documentary photographer Ken Light.

After my formal education I returned to New York and became an assistant to Irving Penn. I worked in the studio on Penn’s fashion, portrait and still life work, and printed platinum and silver gelatin prints in the darkroom. Yes, it truly was amazing to work with the master. After working with Mr. Penn, I set up my own studio in NYC. I've been working on advertising, editorial, corporate reports and portraits since.

Let's get together and do some work.
